In 2024, Universal Africa Lines (UAL) and Bremen Overseas Chartering and Shipping (BOCS) united their expertise to form UBSL Caribbean Line, a joint venture designed to bring a new level of reliability, flexibility and regional understanding to the trade routes linking Northwest Europe with the Caribbean, northern South America up to the United States.
UBSL Caribbean Line operates a monthly liner service connecting Aberdeen and Antwerp to a growing network of ports across the Caribbean, northern South America and the Gulf of Mexico. Our service is built on consistency and customer focus, ensuring that every voyage delivers dependable transport solutions tailored to individual cargo needs. Additional ports can be served on inducement, allowing us to adapt quickly to project requirements or market demands.
Our regular ports of loading are Aberdeen and Antwerp, with additional ports served on inducement. Our current discharge ports include Fort de France (Martinique), Basse Terre (Guadeloupe), Point Lisas (Trinidad), Georgetown (Guyana), Paramaribo (Suriname), Degrad des Cannes / St Laurent du Maroni (French Guiana), Veracruz (Mexico) and Houston (USA), with extensions to other Caribbean port or Brazil, on inducement. This flexible network enables us to connect key industrial and commercial regions efficiently, offering both scheduled and responsive options for our clients.

Together, we bring a modern, geared fleet of 21 multi-purpose vessels, ranging from 4,354 DWT to 33,000 DWT, with lifting capacities of up to 360 MT, capable of handling even the most challenging project requirements.
